As the new Director of Rugby it is my pleasure to invite you to come and join Orrell RUFC and enjoy the fabulous game of rugby at our club.

We are in our third year of the new era at Orrell with our roots now firmly embedded in the amateur ethos again. However we are working steadfastly towards bringing a professional, businesslike approach to all the activities that constitute the running of a rugby club.

This season we have 2 senior teams both competing in leagues which guarantees matches virtually every Saturday for the 1st and 2nd XV.

Our new coaching set up is busy setting up training schedules for the whole season with the emphasis on improving individual skills and developing team patterns of play.

Full training starts on Tuesday 14th July at St John Rigby with a meeting at 6.30 to outline our plans for the forthcoming season. Please make every effort to attend. Training is held at St John Rigby College on a fabulous all weather pitch with flood lighting which ensures that whatever the weather training will always that place. The sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday with a prompt start at 7.00pm. Players are requested to be at training by 6.45pm.
