Orrell started the second half well and were awarded a penalty in the first minute which was unfortunately missed. Orrell kept on the pressure and from a scrum near the half way line, close to their left hand touch line, they picked up quickly to feed their left winger Max Huxley, who beat his opposite winger. He wasstopped on the line but from the resulting maul Chris Bennett managrd to put the ball down over the line to level the score at 5 – 5. Unfortunately the conversion hit the post.
The game again became static, although Oldershaw did miss a penalty, until 5 minutes from the end of the game. Orrell were awarded a penalty which was converted by Chris Bennett taking Orrell into the lead 8 – 5.
Oldershaw then restarted the game with a short kick, and regained possession of the ball. They then drove Orrell back towards their try line and were eventually awarded a scrum close to Orrells 22 metre line. Oldershaw then applied more pressure to score near the post. The try was converted and with only a few minutes left in the game the score remained Orrell 8 Oldershaw 12.
Orrells next game on Saturday 7th November is again at Home against Southport. Kick Off 2.30
