Ian's wife Jackie and daughter's Nicola and Zoe would like to thank everyone from Orrell for the many cards and kind words written in them. Ian was very proud to be associated with so many great lad's.

AUTUMN  INTERNATIONALS 2012.

Orrell have been allocated 10 tickets for each of the autumn matches against  Australia,   New Zealand and South Africa.             All tickets for the match against New Zealand have been allocated to club members, on a first come first serve basis.       No requests have been received for the games against Australia or South Africa           All applications for tickets should be made to the club secretary Eric Wilkinson as soon as possible on 01695 622813,  e-mail wilco@fsmail.net                                                                             

Lancashire RFU Volunteer Awards 2011-2012

Congratulations to Angela Howarth for being named Lancashire RFU volunteer of the year. Angela was presented with the trophy and certificate at the awards presentation at Leigh RFU on Monday 9th April.

Orrell 100 Club

 

The Fourth draw took place on the 28th April at Orrell RTCC. The draw was made by Miss E. Hilton (No relation to the second place winner).

Winning number was 25. C. Nicholson. Second place was 67. S. Hilton
75 names were entered into the draw. This means that the winner will receive £112.50, 2nd Place will receive £37.50

The next draw will take place on the 26th May

The executive committee have appointed Richard Fisher as coaching co-ordinator for 2012/13 season. 

We would like to thank Bill Lyon, Phil Moss. Rob Jones and Mark Ratcliffe who are stepping down at the end of the season, for all the time and effort they have put in over the past few years.  We have already spoken to a number of people about coaching next season, but if anyone else is interested at either open age or junior level  please contact       Richard Fisher    07736 802124 (open age)  or   Keith Roberts      07732 482834 (juniors)

No doubt most members will now know that Alex Bennett one of Orrell's former players suffered a serious spinal injury whilst playing for Lymm at the weekend and is currently in Leeds General Hospital.
